Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday thanked all people, leaders, students and employees for making the 48-hour bandh a grand success.
In a statement, the Trs president appealed to students to participate in forthcoming rallies in a large number to make them a grand success. These rallies will be organized from Thursday from village to district level across Telangana districts. Meanwhile Telangana Political Joint Action Committee convenor M Kodandaram hailed resignation of Telangana leaders, cutting across party lines, for the cause of statehood. Talking to media persons at TNGO Bhavan, Prof Kodandaram said that a meeting would be convened in a couple of days with the leaders who have resigned to chalk out the future course of action. He expressed regrets over the Centre not responding on the resignations and taking the issue lightly. Prof Kodandaram also appealed to Legislators who have resigned not to discharge their duties and not to participate in the any official programmes. He also appealed to students to make students’ rallies on Thursday a grand success. Meanwhile Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and Osmania University Students Joint Action Committee on Wednesday called upon students to picket the residences of those Legislators who have not yet submitted their resignations from the posts for the cause of statehood.
