Hyderabad, Sept 29 :
Women and Child Welfare Minister Konda Surekha said that she will take the decision whether to continue in the cabinet or not only after the Congress Legislature Party meeting. Speaking to the media in Rajahmundry she said, we are eagerly waiting for the Congress Legislature Party meeting. If after the CLP meet Rosaiah is elected as leader then it is difficult for me to continue in the cabinet, she hinted. We will abide by the Congress High Command’s decision on the leadership in the state but we also have the right to express our deep resentment in this matter,
she added. Interacting with the media on Tuesday Ms Surekha said K. Rosaiah was an interim Chief Minister as also all Cabinet Ministers. “The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) should formally elect a leader who would be the Chief Minister. Until then, all the arrangements are deemed to be temporary,” she said.
Recalling the good old days when Rajasekhar Reddy was alive she pointed out that several Ministers like her had owed their present positions to Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy and they continued to owe allegiance to him and his son Jagan. As a matter of gratitude we all expect Jagan to succeed his father as people in the State.
