Telugu Desam Deputy Floor Leader in the Assembly Motkupalli Narasimhulu on Friday told suspended leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy to resign as an MLA before making any allegations against party president N Chandrababu Naidu on the issue of a separate state.
“Mr Janardhan Reddy should resign from his elected post if he has any guts, which he was elected on the TDP ticket, before he makes any baseless allegations against Mr Chandrababu Naidu,” Mr Narasimhulu told media persons at the NTR Trust Bhavan. He was reacting to Mr Janardhan Reddy’ allegations against Mr Naidu that he was one of the main obstacles in the creation of Telangana since he was not writing a letter to Union Home Minister P Chidambaram that the TDP has no objections if Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated. Mr Narasimhulu said, “Mr Janardhan Reddy has no moral right to make allegations against Mr Chandrababu Naidu. He was elected on the TDP ticket. He should resign from the Assembly first.” The TDP leader further condemned Mr Janardhan Reddy for alleging that Mr Chandrababu Naidu was driving out anyone who raised ‘Jai Telangana’ slogans from the party. “There is no truth to the allegations. Mr Janardhan Reddy is making baseless allegations against Mr Naidu since he has conspired with YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy,” Mr Narasimhulu said. Hinting that it was the YSR Congress Party which was backing Mr Janardhan Reddy financially, Mr Narasimhulu demanded that the suspended leader should disclose the sources of money which ensured that the Ranabheri programmes could be organised in Telangana region. “After quitting the TDP on the separate Telangana issue, Mr Janardhan Reddy imagined that he would become a hero in the hearts of people of the region. However He has become a zero in the hearts of Telangana people and no one is bothered about him,” Mr Narasimhulu said.
