With Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy directing his Ministers and elected representatives to declare their assets and properties before August-end, Seemandhra Forum convener and Minister for Primary Education S Sailajanath on Thursday stated that he would declare his assets before July 15.
Talking to media persons on Assembly premises, Mr Sailajanath expressed the hope that the Ministers and MLAs would declare their assets before August-end as per the deadline set by the Chief Minister. Mr Sailajanath added that a delegation of Seemandhra leaders, comprising MPs, Ministers, MLAs and MLCs would meet to chalk out future course of action to keep Andhra Pradesh integrated. He revealed that the delegation would go to New Delhi and present its views, stressing on the importance of an integrated Andhra Pradesh. The Minister said that the delegation would mount pressure on the High Command to take a decision on the contentious issue and clear the political uncertainty. Mr Sailajanath added that the delegation would appeal to the High Command not to resort to delaying tactics and address the statehood issue on top priority basis. He added that the Seemandhra leaders are opposed to division of state and would at no cost agree for separation of Telangana from Andhra Pradesh. The Minister added that the Seemandhra leaders would prevail upon Centre that development should take place across the state and not be confined to one region or district.
