The Praja Rajyam Party on Saturday bluntly told YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy not to criticise the PRP’s impending merger with the Congress party, saying that it the party’s democratic right. Talking to media persons at the Assembly Media Point, PRP MLAs Satyananda Rao and Kanna Babu said that the merger process, which is in its final stages, is a right given by democracy and no one can try to find flaws about the decision.
The MLAs further accused Mr Jaganmohan Reddy of trying to find flaws in the PRP’s decision, forgetting that he was ‘playing politics even as his late father and former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s body was yet to be buried.
“Why is Mr Jaganmohan Reddy poaching on MLAs of other parties, using coercive methods?,” the PRP MLAs questioned. “Mr Jaganmohan Reddy has forgotten that he sent a team of his loyalists to seek PRP president K Chiranjeevi’s support, even before his father was buried. He has no moral right to raise fingers at the PRP,” the MLAs said. They further warned that their party chief K Chiranjeevi would let no stone unturned to bring Mr Jaganmohan Reddy to justice for his alleged involvement in massive corruption.
