Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee official spokesman B Kamalakara Rao on Wednesday accused YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy of influencing voters of Kadapa with his money power.

Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, the official spokesman alleged that Mr Jaganmohan Reddy was distributing money to lure the voters of the constituency to vote for him. “He is thinking like a businessman, and assuming that money can buy him victory,” Mr Kamalakar Rao said.

The Congress spokesperson pointed out that Mr Jaganmohan Reddy had ‘acquired’ the YSR Congress Party, which was registered with the Election Commission by one Shiva Kumar. This was done by luring Mr Shiva Kumar with money, the PCC spokesperson said.

“Now also, Mr Jaganmohan Reddy wants to play the same trick and lure voters with his money power,” he added.

“The voters will not fall into Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s trap and opt for the Congress candidates DL Ravindra Reddy and YS Vivekananda Reddy,” Mr Kamalakar Rao said.

Another of the party’s official spokespersons, Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy said that Mr Jaganmohan Reddy was making controversial statements each day, confusing the people.

“He wants to ally with the Bharatiya Janata Party,” Mr Venkata Ramana Reddy said, adding that Mr Jaganmohan Reddy must make his stand clear on the alliance with the BJP.
