Prove you are YSR's heir by supporting T demand: Jeevan Reddy to Jagan

Former minister Jeevan Reddy on Wednesday demanded that YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy prove that he is the political heir of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy by making his stand on the Separate Telangana statehood demand clear.

Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, Mr Jeevan Reddy said that Dr Rajasekhara Reddy had made a clear statement on the Floor of the Assembly in support of a Separate Telangana state. “If Mr Jaganmohan Reddy wants to prove that his claim of being Dr YSR’s political heir, he should support the Telangana statehood demand, following his father’s footsteps,” the former minister said.

Mr Jeevan Reddy added that if the Congress party will definitely improve its image if it takes a favorable decision on the Telangana statehood demand since it is heading the ruling coalition at the Centre.

If the Congress fails to introduce Telangana Bill in Parliament, the party will lose people’s confidence and disappear in the Telangana region completely, the former minister added.

He appealed to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to get National Project status for Pranahitha-Chevella projects during his forthcoming meeting with the Planning  Commission.
