Doctors said that the condition of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) Floor Leader Akbaruddin Owaisi, who was stabbed and shot during an attempt on his life on Saturday, was stable and he is recovering fast. In a health bulletin issued by Care Hospitals at Banjara Hills, where the Legislator is undergoing treatment, hospital Director Ram Papa Rao stated the MLA is recovering fast and all his vital organs are functioning normally.
Dr Papa Rao said dialysis has been have stopped on the Legislator as his kidneys are functioning normally. Earlier, on Tuesday, the doctors had removed the ventilator as the MLA was breathing naturally. “There is no need to give artificial support to his organs as his all vital organs are functioning normally,” the doctors stated.
The doctors said the MLA was being provided nutrients through saline. However, the doctors said they have not yet removed the bullet embedded in his thigh. They said the bullet will be removed through surgery once his blood pressure comes under normal limit.
“Now he is completely out of danger and we are providing normal treatment to him for his recovery,” the doctors said. The hospital director also added that the Legislator is recognising the faces of leaders. Akbaruddin Owaisi suffered injuries to his left kidney, urinary bladder, upper portion of the large intestine and left hand when he was attacked by a group of men at Chandrayngutta on Saturday morning.
