No truck with Jagan, defeat Cong, TDP: BJP to voters

Denying that his party had anything to do with Ysr Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy, senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Ch Vidyasagar Rao on Friday called upon people to vote against the Congress and Telugu Desam Party in the by-elections for Kadapa and Pulivendula constituencies.

Talking to media persons here, the senior BJP leader appealed to the people to give a clear and comprehensive against the Congress and TDP, while maintaining that his party had no alliance, tacit or otherwise with the Ysr Congress Party.

Mr Vidyasagar Rao said that he did not understand why Mr Jaganmohan had mentioned the BJP during his speech since his party does not have any secret understanding with him.

Reminding that Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu had once been a supporter of the National Democratic Alliance government at the Center, he was now working against the interest of the BJP. The senior politician called on the voters to defeat both the Telugu Desam Party and the Congress party candidates so comprehensively that they even lose their deposits. He expressed confidence the people in Kadapa constituency will reject the Congress party out rightly.

Mr Vidyasagar Rao also claimed that Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas had not learnt a lesson despite losing two times consecutively in the by-elections held in Nizamabad.

The senior politician also predicted that the ramification of a loss in Kadapa would be so widespread that both the Central and the state governments will collapse once the by-elections results are declared.
