Pradesh Congress Committee spokesman and former MLA Katakam Mruthyunjayam on Wednesday stated that Y S R Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy wants to use by-elections to cover up his corruption charges and save his properties amassed illegally from inquiries of investigating agencies.
Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, the PCC spokesman held the YSR Congress Party president responsible for Kadapa by-elections and added that Mr Jaganmohan Reddy wants to strengthen his official position through the polls.
“He wants use this election to increase his properties and not to serve people,” Mr Mruthyunjayam stated.
The Congress spokesperson also alleged that the Kadapa Lok Sabha Candidate has not raised any problem faced the by people of his constituency during the time he was representing them in the Parliament.
He also charged Mr Jaganmohan Reddy of using his ill-gotten money to influence voters of the constituency.
Expressing confidence that the Congress candidates –DL Ravindra Reddy and YS Vivekananda Reddy would win the by-elections, Mr Mruthyunjayam said that the people of constituency would support the leadership skills of Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
He asked the Jagan to disclose his party manifesto and policies before the voting takes place.
The Congress spokespersons also revealed that former chief minister K Rosaiah would participate in the Kadapa by-election campaign on April 23. He would campaign at Proddutur on the evening of that day, Mr Mruthyunjayam said.
He congratulated the ISRO scientists for the successful launch of PSLV C16.
