Condemning the allegations leveled against the Congress that the ruling party was misusing the official position of the Ministers by deputing them to campaign, Mr Venkata Reddy stated that this was an old tradition. “Deputing party leaders and Ministers to campaign is an old tradition and the Congress has not violated this practice,” the former minister pointed out.

He opined that Congress should have better utilized the services of local youth as part of its ‘collective responsibility’ approach in the by-elections.

Reacting on the reports that the state government was keep to file an appeal against the High Court order to disclosing the contents of the controversial eighth chapter of Justice BN Srikrishna Committee Report, Mr Venkata Reddy said these reports were baseless.

He said that the Centre was dealing with the issue and the state government was not involved.
