If Yagams get T, why does TRS exist, wonders Narayana

Communist Party of India state secretary K Narayana on Thursday lashed out at Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao for performing ‘Chandi Yagam’ without making concerted efforts for formation of Telangana state formation.

Talking to media persons at his party office, the Left party leader asked KCR that if Telangana is possible with Yagas, what is the need of TRS?

Charging KCR of cheating Telangana people with yagas and yagnas, Mr Narayana said the Telangana state formation was only possible with the ‘burial’ of Congress party. He said the Congress party has failed to introduce Telangana Bill in Parliament despite various parties extending support.

He also flayed KCR for targeting TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for his ambivalent attitude on Telangana.

Demanding the state government immediate withdrawal of GO 177, which prevents employees’ from participating in the agitations and pen-down strikes, the veteran Communist said that the party would intensify its agitation against government over the controversial GO, which violates employees rights.

Mr Narayana also warned the government to drop the proposal of privatisation of the NIMS hospital.
