Congress spokespersons Kamalakar Rao and Padmaja Reddy on Friday opined that the people of Kadapa would give a fitting lesson to YSR Congress Party which they said was founded without an agenda and lacked principles.

“This dream (of Mr Jaganmohan Reddy) will never be realized as the people of the district would opt to vote for the Congress party candidates and give a fitting lesson to the former MP in the by-elections,” Mr Kamalakar Rao stated.

Stating that Congress party is committed to implementation of its manifesto, the party spokesperson added that the government has implemented the fee reimbursement scheme and was continuing with the Arogyasri scheme despite financial constraints. “The government is committed to welfare of people,” said he. Mr Kamalakar Rao further added that the Congress has introduced the Women’s Reservation Bill.

Ms Padmaja Reddy stated that the Congress party is making efforts to find an amicable agreement between dissenting voices in the state before it introduces the Telangana Bill in Parliament. She further added that students committed suicides for the cause of Telangana after they were provoked and misguided by some vested elements.
