HYDERABAD, Sept 22: The powerful chair of chief minister is OK but not the chamber, this seems to be bothering the interim Chief Minister K Rosaiah who is hesitating to move to the `C’ Block in the Secretariat where Y S Rajasekhara Reddy once administered the state. This is nothing new to Rosaiah but it has become a tradition with most of the chief ministers in the recent past starting from N T Rama Rao. Climbing the wooden staircase leading to the oldest G Block in the Secretariat, NTR set up his chamber in the D Block soon after he took over as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh .His son-in-law Chandra babu Naidu who dethroned him preferred to have his chamber in the third floor of the C Block instead of moving into NTR’s chamber.
Of course as time would have it he ruled from there for nine consecutive years facing stiff opposition from the Congress.Y S Rajasekhara Reddy who succeeded Chandrababu also shunned to occupy the chambers of Chandrababu and settled for a chamber in the fourth floor of the C Block. With Rosaiah occupying the hot seat under tragic circumstances after sudden demise of YSR, prefers to continue the administration from D Block where he presently administers. Though Rosaiah made a statement that he would be moving to C Block on an auspicious day, it is still uncertain whether he would ask for a new chamber or not. With the Congress MLAs indulging in power politics the dame luck of chambers should smile on Rosaiah to prolong his stint as the Chief Minister
