Telangana Rashtra Samithi Floor Leader Etela Rajender on Tuesday alleged that Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar was showing bias between people Telangana and Rayalaseema regions by not punishing Agriculture Minister YS Vivekananda Reddy, who allegedly attacked Telugu Desam Party MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar on the Floor of the House on Monday.

“However, when a Minister from Seemandhra YS Vivekananda Reddy attacked the TDP MLA, the Deputy Speaker, except seeking his apology, did not take any strict action. He neither imposed any punishment nor suspend him from the House,” the Trs leader complained. “This clearly shows that Mr Manohar showing discrimination against Telanganaites and was not rendering justice,” he alleged.

Condemning the Agriculture Minister’s behaviour, Mr Rajender said that YSV had behaved ‘like a street rowdy and attacked the MLA’. He demanded Mr Manohar to initiate stern action against the Minister and take steps to ensure that such ugly incidents are not repeated in future.

The Trs leader stated that justice to people of region will be achieved only if a separate state of Telangana is formed.

Mr Rajender demanded that the vacant Osmania University Vice-Chancellor’s post should be filled by selecting a person from Telangana region. He warned the government of serious consequences if someone from any other region apart from Telangana is chosen for the post.
