YSV hijacked Jagan group's agenda: Konda Surekha

Former minister Konda Surekha, the staunch loyalist of former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy, on Monday accused Agriculture Minister YS Vivekananda Reddy of hijacking their plans of rebutting baseless charges leveled by Telugu Desam Party  against former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, the former minister stated that the MLAs belonging to the Jagan group would not tolerate the targeting of the YSR family with baseless charges.

Ms Surekha pointed out that the MLAs of the Jagan group have been rebutting the charges against YSR made by the TDP in the House since the past two days. She said that YSV had hijacked their plans on Monday.

Strongly objected to the placard displayed by the TDP MLA with the words, `YSR group of Robbers’, the former minister said the TDP has stooped to such low levels that it was targeting a deceased person. This was against the culture of the country and not a practice prevalent in India, she stated.

Reacting on YSV attacking TDP MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar in the House, Ms Surekha stated that the Jagan group MLAs are not connected with the incident.

She also found fault with the media reports for aligning YSV with the Jagan group. She pointed out that Mr Vivekananda Reddy was a Minister of the Kiran Kumar Reddy Cabinet.
