Telangana Telugu Desam Party Forum convenor Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Monday alleged that the Congress party ‘once again’ cheated the people of Telangana by forcing its MLAs and MLCs to attend the Budget Session of Assembly.
Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, Mr Janardhan Reddy charged Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas of ‘forcing’ the Telangana Congress MLAs and MLCs to attend the Assembly Sessions without giving any assurance on Telangana.
“What have they achieved by boycotting the Assembly sessions? The Telangana people are carefully watching the Congress leaders’ actions. The people will give a fitting lesson to them at the appropriate time,” he stated.
Mr Janardhan Reddy stated the Congress has been cheating the people of Telangana since 1954.
“Earlier, during the by-elections last year, the PCC chief had stated the Congress will give Telangana state on ‘gold trays’. But, now, the PCC chief ordered the issuing of a whip to Telangana Congress leaders to attend the Session to pass the budget and for ensuring that the party candidates win the MLC elections,” Mr Janardhan Reddy stated.
He said the Telangana Congress leaders have no guts to face the Seemandhra leaders in the Assembly.
Mr Janardhan Reddy opined that the Telangana Congress leaders must ‘learn a lesson’ from Telangana MPs, who have been staging dharnas in New Delhi to press Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to introduce the Telangana Bill in Parliament.
The TTDP F convenor advised Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to conduct the House Sessions in any part of Seemandhra regions instead of forcing Telangana Congress leaders to attend the House.
Reacting on Telangana Journalists Forum conducting a `Mock Assembly’, Mr Janardhan Reddy asked the Forum to conduct last rites for Telangana Congress leaders for cheating Telangana people once again. He described the Mock Assembly of Forum as Model Assembly.
