Jagan to launch party on Saturday

Former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Friday disclosed that he would launch his new party at 2.29 pm on Saturday from the YSR Ghat at Idupulapaya Estate in Kadapa district.

Addressing the gathering after welcome former MLA and president of East Godavari District Unit of Praja Rajyam Party, Jyothula Nehru into his party fold at a massive programme held at Jaggampeta in East Godavari, the former MP said that his new name of party would be `Ysr Congress Party.’

Mr Jaganmohan Reddy said that the new party would be formally announced after seeking the blessings of his father at the Ghat.

He said the party flag will be made up of three colours and flag would be hoisted in the presence of his mother YS Vijayalaxmi at Idupulapaya.

Mr Jaganmohan Reddy revealed that he would announce modalities and party agenda after the by-elections for the Kadapa Lok Sabha and the Pulivendula Assembly constituencies. He also revealed that the maiden plenary session of the new party would be held after the by-elections.

Mr Jaganmohan Reddy sought the cooperation of all the people and expressed confidence that it would rule the state ‘very soon’.

He added that the new party was aimed to bring happiness and smiles on the faces of all the state’s people.

On the occasion, former spokesperson of the PRP Vasireddy Padma, who had quit that party after not being given an MLC ticket, also joined Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s group.
