Smaller states more convenient to rule

Well known Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Friday opined that smaller states will ensure faster development and more convenient to administer.

Speaking to media persons here, the Yoga Guru said that “smaller states will be better for administrative convenience and development.” He added that division of the state for the convenience of administration was advisable. However, the government must first target the elimination of corruption before concentrating on division of states, Baba Ramdev stated.

Stating that political parties in the country were polluted by corruption ‘to the core’ and were not following moral values, Baba Ramdev disclosed that he would announce his new party in June and introduce reforms which would ‘change the political scene in the country.’

He said that his new party would contest all the Lok Sabha seats in the next general elections. Hinting that the main plank of his political party would be the eradication of corruption from public life, Baba Ramdev said that his yet-to-be-launched party would fight for this end.

“My new party would make continuous efforts for eradicating corruption at all levels. With the presence of corrupt politicians in the Lok Sabha, the law making bodies are becoming redundant and losing their sheen,” he stated.

The Yoga Guru promised to give tickets only to those who have a squeaky clean image and are free from corrupt practices.
