Stating that ‘there is a solution to every problem,’ Congress In-Charge of Andhra Pradesh Affairs and Union Law Minister M Veerappa Moily on Thursday stated that the Centre will find a solution to the Telangana imbroglio at an appropriate time.

The Union Minister also stated that the another step towards finding the solution was the meeting between Congress MPs from Seemandhra regions and the Congress Core Committee members scheduled later for Thursday night. This meeting will take place at the Prime Minister’s residence.

Earlier, the Seemandhra MPs on Thursday wrote a letter to Congress Core Committee member Pranab Mukherjee demanding him to implement 6th option given in the Justice BN Srikrishna Committee Report.

The sixth option given in the Srikrishna Committee Report calls suggests that the Centre can “keep the State united and providing for creation of a statutorily empowered Telangana Regional Council for socio-economic development and political development of Telangana region.”

About 20 MPs from Seemandhra regions had signed the letter and handed it over to Mr Pranab Mukherjee.

Meanwhile, Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi stated the Telangana issue was a sensitive and requires more time for a solution to be found. He said that the issue could not be solved overnight and it may be solved in a phased manner.
