Telangana Political Joint Action Committee convenor Kodandaram on Thursday stated that there would be no changes in the schedule of the ‘Millennium March’ and it would go ahead as planned on March 10.

Talking to media persons at JAC Office at New MLA Quarters in Adarsh Nagar, Prof Kodandaram expressed confidence that the programme would paralyse the movement of city dwellers and wake the government up from its slumber over the Telangana statehood demand.

The Tpjac chief also appealed to people from across the Telangana region to converge in Hyderabad on the scheduled day and make the Millennium March a grand success.

Hailing the resignation by Endowment Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao for the cause of Telangana state formation, Prof Kodandaram called upon other elected representatives to follow the Minister’s footsteps and resign from their posts to mount pressure on the Centre.

Referring to the stalling of both the Houses of Parliament on the Telangana statehood issue, the Tpjac chief extended his gratitude to all the MPs who raised the issue.

Condemning the statements made by Eluru MP Kavuri Sambhasiva Rao challenging his party leaders from Telangana to quit if they were sincere in their commitment for separate Telangana state, Prof Kodandaram demanded that the MP resign from his seat to show his commitment on the integrated statehood demand.

He alleged the Seemandhra leaders were not following the directions of Congress High Command and making provocative statements to block the formation of separate Telangana state. This was being done to protect their business interests in the state capital, Prof Kodandaram stated.
