All MLAs must unite for T resolution: Harish Rao

Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA T Harish Rao on Friday appealed to all MLAs to make concerted efforts for introducing a resolution on Telangana state formation in the Assembly.

Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, the TRS leader said if the MLAs, cutting across party lines and rising above their political affiliations work towards introducing a resolution on Telangana statehood in the state Assembly, the Centre would pass the Telangana bill in Parliament immediately.

Despite noncooperation agitation of employees and 48-hous bandh called by Telangana Political Joint Action Committee paralyzing the administration, the government has failed to respond to the issue, Harish Rao pointed out.

He criticized the Telangana Ministers and MLAs for not resigning to their posts to mount pressure on Centre and holding on to their posts.

Harish Rao further alleged that the Telangana Ministers are mortgaging the self-respect of Telangana people and asked them to open their eyes to reality. “Otherwise they will be seen as villains by the people of Telangana and would be taught a fitting lesson in next elections,” he stated.  

The TRS MLA further added that the government should respect the sentiments and aspirations of four crore people of the region by introducing a resolution on Telangana.

He warned the government that TRS would stall the proceedings in the House until the Telangana resolution was introduced in the House.
