Telangana Mala Mahanadu president Addanki Dayakar on Wednesday demanded that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy suspend Transport Minister Botsa Satyanarayana for allegedly suggesting that the properties belonging to SC/ST/BC Commission be mortgaged to clear the fee reimbursement arrears.
Lashing out against the Minister, Mr Dayakar said that the statement was ‘irresponsible’.
He demanded that the government immediately release the dues of college managements and clear the scholarships of students.
Extending support to the proposed ‘Deeksha’ by former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy against the delay in releasing fee reimbursement arrears, the Mala Mahanadu leader said that the government was adopting delaying tactics in clearing the arrears of fee reimbursement and was playing games with reserved category students’ lives and their bright career.
The Deeksha will go ahead on February 18.
Mr Dayakar said the fee reimbursement issue has forced the reserved category students to discontinue the studies in midway.
Meanwhile Telugu Nadu Students federation, in a statement , condemned the reports appeared in a section of media that the government was thinking of mortgaging the properties of SC/ST/BC corporations for clearing fee reimbursement dues and scholarships.
The federation demanded the suspension of Transport Minister Botsa Satyanarayana for support the government move.
The Federation questioned the Minister if the government had mortgaged engineering offices for clearing contractor bills and the Secretariat for clearing salary and perks of employees?
The Federation further question why the minister was supporting moves to to mortgage weaker section properties?
The Federation asked Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to remove Mr Satyanarayana from the post for his anti-weaker sections remarks.
Earlier, Telangana People’s Front Joint Action Committee convener Gajjela Kantham also extended total support to Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s ‘Deeksha’ on fee reimbursement.
