Former Minister Mahabubnagar district M Marreppa on Tuesday lashed out against the possible alliance between the Congress and the Praja Rajyam Party.

Speaking to media persons at the state Secretariat, Mr Marreppa was very critical of PRP president K Chiranjeevi and scoffed at his party’s support for N Kiran Kumar Reddy government.

Mr Marreppa stated that the Praja Rajyam Party was almost a rejected one in the 2009 electorate. He also made light of Mr Chiranjeevi's stand and his efforts to get closer to gain proximity to the ruling Congress both at the Centre and the state with his 'support' card.

The former minister was of the opinion that the Congress could hardly find any gains through PRP's support nor would Congress lose out if Mr Chiranjeevi did not offer his support.

The former minister, known to be a staunch supporter of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, now made adverse comments against the Racha Banda programme also.
