YSR, Jagan detractors getting rewarded: Bajireddy

Former Congress Mla Baji Reddy Govardhan on Tuesday charged the High Command of rewarding the detractors of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy and his son YS Jaganmohan Reddy by giving them berths in the state Cabinet.

Lashing out at a section of Congress leaders for targeting the former Kadapa MP YS and his late father, Mr Govardhan said that their words against the two leaders may have earned them Ministerial berths, but they would have to face the people sooner or later and justify their comments.

Talking to media persons at Public Gardens, the former MLA criticized Minister for Health DL Ravindra, Minister for Handloom and Textiles P Shankar Rao and Indira Gandhi 20 Point Economic Programme Chairman Tulasi Reddy for unnecessarily targeting the YSR family members.

Following on the footprints of Ministers, Pradesh Congress Committee Disciplinary Action Committee Chairman K Satyanarayana Raju was also making baseless comments against departed leader and his son, Mr Govardhan stated.

He also expressed his regrets at the High Command’s decision of nominating D Srinivas, who lost Assembly elections two times in Telangana region, for Pradesh Congress Committee president post.

Stating that the things in Congress are not moving in right direction, Mr Govardhan expressed fears that the leaders who have been rejected by the people would become members of Congress Core Committee soon.
