Former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Friday reassured the members of the Muslim community that he would on no account enter into any electoral alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Addressing a massive gathering Muslims at Pulivendula on Friday, the former MP made it clear that he would not go for tie-up with Bharatiya Janata Party in the 2014 General Elections.
Expressing regrets, he alleged that the Congress High Command has driven a wedge in his family by using his uncle YS Vivekananda Reddy. Mr Jaganmohan Reddy added that the soul of his father and former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy would not rest in peace after witnessing such discord between his family members.
Mr YS Vivekananda Reddy has already stated that he was willing to contest against anyone from any constituency and the general belief is that he would be fielded against Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s mother and YSR’s widow, YS Vijayalakshmi by the Congress High Command for the Pulivendula Assembly by-elections,
Mr Jaganmohan Reddy said that he had stood up and fought against Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who he alleged, has divided his family by luring with his uncle with a Minister’s post.
“As I have guts and courage, I came out of Congress party. I will make a announcement regarding the formation of my new party soon. This party will be made up of loyalists of YSR and will work for the implementing the welfare programmes launched by my father, ” he asserted.
He said the upcoming election was a fight between corrupt politicians on one hand and those with character on the other.
