Alleging that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Congress leaders of colluding with each other, senior Telugu Desam Party leader Devender Goud stated that the two parties were misleading the people of Telangana, promising them a separate state while deriving political mileage.

Speaking to media persons at the NTR Trust Bhavan, Mr Devender Goud charged TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao of deceiving the people in the name of Telangana by colluding with Congress leaders. He said that the ultimate aim of the Congress was to weaken the TDP and build its own image as the ‘Champions of Telangana’.

The oft-repeated claims of the Congress that it alone can ‘give and bring Telangana’ were evidence enough of this grand plan, Mr Devender Goud said. The senior TDP leader added that TRS chief KCR was being used as a pawn in the political chessboard by the Congress leaders and has become part of the Congress’s larger plan of projecting itself of the champions of Telanganaites aspirations and sentiments. The former home minister also charged the Congress government of failing to address the people problems. He charged that the party was so beset with its internal squabbling that it had no time to concentrate on governance.
