Party offices deserted as action shifts to Delhi

All Party Offices and Legislature party offices in the state wore a deserted look on Wednesday as most of the party leaders are in New Delhi to attend the all-party meeting convened by Union Home Minister P Chidambaram to discuss the justice Srikrishna Commission report on January 6.

The party offices, Gandhi Bhavan, Telangana Bhavan, PRP office in Jubilee Hills and BJP Office at Nampally were deserted, save for the watchmen and some media persons hoping to get some stories. The only action visible on Wednesday was at the NTR Trust Bhavan, where TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu an all-party meeting.

The political leaders of the Congress party, who had not been invited or had landed on their own accord in New Delhi were however not willing to take the chance and speak on the Justice Srikrishna Commission report following the instructions by the High Command.

Among the other leaders form the opposition parties, most preferred to spend some with their families, before the storm in the T-Cup starts.

For the more active leaders, particularly the elected representatives from Telangana, it was a day to make frantic calls to each other, hoping to get an inkling into their future plans after the Srikrishna Report is made public.

Though Seemandhra leaders have not announced their decision over resignations to their posts, they are believed to be looking at other ways of twisting arms if the SKC report recommends bifurcation of the state.
