Talking to media persons after emerging out of a party Executive Committee meeting at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday, the TRS chief predicted that state might witness midterm elections in next year.

He predicted that the governments at Centre and State would collapse after the demand for smaller states will gather pace after the Srikrishna Commission’s Report is submitted.

KCR also expressed confidence that the TRS would win all seats in Telangana region and Seemandhra regions would be swept by the yet to be announced political party of former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

The TRS chief said about 70 MLAs are directly extending support to Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s yet to be established party in the Seemandhra regions.

KCR also called upon Telangana leaders to be ready to submit their resignations to elected bodies if the Justice B N Srikrishna Commission report recommends that the state remains integrated.

He appealed to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Union Home Minister P Chidambaram not to test the patience of Telangana people and demanded them to withdraw Central Paramilitary Forces from the state immediately.

The TRS chief also appealed to politicians from the region to push for the tabling and subsequently getting the Bill on Telangana passed by Parliament. He added that this should be done on the lines of the pressure built on the government to get the cases against students and agitators lifted.

KCR also added that the agitation for Telangana would be launched in a non-violent and non-cooperative way and the separate statehood protagonists would mount pressure on Centre and state government by paralyzing the administration. He said the police and paramilitary battalions cannot stop or suppress the aspirations of Telangana people.
