The much awaited Justice B N Srikrishna Committee is scheduled to arrive here on Thursday, December 16, for a meeting with leaders of political parties in Andhra Pradesh. Readers are aware that the panel has been working on the report on the Telangana statehood issue and is expected to submit it before December 31.
The panel members will arrive here from Mumbai and stay at the Lakeview Guest House where they are scheduled to meet the political party leaders.
Besides, they will meet Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at Secretariat. Among others, the panel will also meet Governor ESL Narasimhan at the Raj Bhavan at 12:30 PM, Chief Secretary S V Prasad and the DGP K Aravinda Rao at 12 pm.
They will meet Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at his Camp Office at 2.15 pm.
The five-member panel interacted extensively for four months to elicit public views on the contentious issue of the bifurcation of the state and the preparation of the report seems to be in full swing.
Their meeting with the political parties in the state assumes importance in the light of the recent agitations launched by the TRS and the students of Osmania University and universities in Andhra region.
The committee will thank all the leaders and other persons who had cooperated with it for the past ten months
The panel members will leave Hyderabad for New Delhi on Thursday evening, according to their itinerary.
