Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday took strong objection for adjournment of the Assembly without discussing any farmers’ problems.
Talking to media persons, the Leader of Opposition criticised Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar and the state government for its failure in tackling the farmers’ problems in the rain affected districts.
Lashing out the government for its failure in taking rescue and relief operations in flood hit coastal districts, Mr Naidu said the TDP would take up Padayatra from NTR Ghat, Saifabad to Assembly premises on Saturday.
He said the TDP workers would also lay siege the national highways leading to state capital pressing the government to address the farmers’ problems on priority.
The former chief minister said the TDP has demanded that the government lift all police cases on students, who participated in the bifurcation of state agitation, immediately and introduce a one sentence resolution in the House.
However, the government failed to introduce the motion and adjourned the House without taking any discussion on distressed farmers’ problems, he stated.
