The Minister said that the categorisation of SCs was very much on its agenda, including in the Congress party manifesto.

The government was also committed to the categorisation, but it will take some time as Constitutional and legal problems were bound to arise.

Mr Shailajanath stated that Mr Krishna Madiga must also understand that it was not that easy to get the appointment of top leaders who were preoccupied with current problems.

However, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was as much committed and resolved to find a solution to it should there be an occasion.

Asked about Mr Jaganmohan Reddy quitting the party, the Minister said it was unfortunate. Even now he is welcome back, he said.
