PRP likely to seek Dy CM, 5 berths

 Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi on Monday convened an emergency meeting with his MLAs and senior party leaders at party office in Jubilee hills to discuss the strategy to be adopted in the event of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy seeking PRP’s support.

According to sources, the Chief Minister has invited the PRP chief to meet him at his office in the evening to discuss the government formation.

The PRP leader convened the meeting to elicit the views of his party MLAs in extending support to KKR government. PRP sources say that they meeting also discussed the pros and cons of the PRP joining the government.

The meeting also discussed whether to ask for specific Ministerial berths if indeed the decision to join the government is finalized.

The sources add that the PRP leadership is of the view to seek the Deputy Chief Minister’s post and five Ministerial berths if the PRP joins the KKR government.

Party senior leaders C Ramachandraiah, Kotagiri Vidyadhara Rao, B Veda Vyas, Gowtam and Vasireddy Padmavathi were present.
