Speaker accept Jagan's resignation

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar on Monday accepted the resignation of Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy from the Lower House of Parliament.

According to sources, the Kadapa MP had faxed his resignation letter to Ms Meera Kumar, alleging that he and his family were insulted by the Congress party on several occasions since the death of his father and former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and expressed his anguish over the attempts to create rift in the party.

“After going through all this, we have no other option except to resign,” he stated in his resignation letter.
