All new Ministers should work for T-state: Jeevan

Former Minister Jeevan Reddy on Saturday said that all the Ministers in Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s Cabinet should think positively about the creation of a separate Telangana state.

Talking to media persons on Saturday, Mr Jeevan Reddy stated that all those who are picked as Ministers in the new Cabinet should keep in mind the genuine desire of the people for a separate state and support this call. He added that even integrationist leaders in the Congress party should realise the desire of the people and start to support the separate statehood demand.

The former minister and Telangana protagonist also expressed confidence that under the leadership of a new Chief Minister, the aspirations of the people from the region would be fulfilled and the separate state would be achieved.

The Senior Congress leader added that he expected a Bill to be passed with ease if introduced in Parliament for the creation of Telangana as the Centre was favourably inclined to this issue.
