Demanding immediate cancellation of the 2-G spectrum allocations, recovery of the Himalayan loss the exchequer has suffered and institution of a strong anti-corruption commission, students and youth will be flooding the Prime Minister&rsquo;s Office (PMO) with post cards, e-mails, faxes and one-rupee money orders beginning November 26.
Announcing the action plan at a media conference here on Wednesday, Lok Satta Party president Jayaprakash Narayan called upon the youth and students to transcend party affiliations and raise their voice against corruption, which undermined their hopes for a better future.
Dr Narayan said India has earned the dubious distinction of recording the biggest scam in world history in one Government wing in one year. Going by the Comptroller and Auditor General&rsquo;s report, the loss sustained by the exchequer could be as large as Rs 1,76,000 crore. Had the Government earned such colossal revenue, it would have been sufficient to build 5 million classrooms or 20 million homes or add 8 million hospital beds.
The former IAS officer has regretted that all mainstream political parties focused on peripheral issues like appointment of a Joint Parliamentary Committee instead of pondering how the loss caused by collusive corruption could be recouped. They were guilty of obfuscating the issue by pitting tainted Telecommunications Minister Mr A Raja against scam-ridden Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yedyurappa, and indulging in mutual mud-slinging.
The LSP chief pointed out that the Indian exchequer had been robbed in broad daylight with politicians and bureaucrats resorting to dubious, opaque and illegal means to reward a select band of rapacious operators. By cancelling the tainted licenses and disgorging the beneficiaries of their windfall gains, the Government should send a strong message that those who cheat the Government would not merely lose their social standing but also go bankrupt.
He announced that Lok Satta, along with a number of highly credible individuals would be filing a petition in the Supreme Court on November 29 seeking cancellation of 2-G spectrum licenses. &nbsp;He released a poster titled National Campaign against Corruption as also a pamphlet on the 2-G spectrum scam.
Party General Secretary Katari Srinivasa Rao announced the campaign would be continued until December 9, World Anti Corruption Day.&nbsp;
Dr Narayan himself would send a memorandum to the Prime Minister listing the three demands on the scam on November 26. A public walk and a meeting would be organized at Visakhapatnam as a culmination.
Replying to questions, the LSP chief said that the Bihar verdict, as the earlier ones in Gujarat, Delhi, MP and Chhattisgarh, demonstrates that people would vote back a party to power if it provides relatively better governance. He appealed to the State Government and the agitating employees to enter into a dialogue and sort out their problems. Dr Narayan condemned attacks on &lsquo;Sakshi&rsquo; offices as unwarranted in a democracy.

LSP announces action plan on 2G spectrum scam

Citing ill health and exigencies of work, Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Wednesday submitted his resignation to Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan.
Though Mr Rosaiah cited health problems as the reason for his decision to step down, highly placed sources say that the decision was made for him by the High Command in the light of the growing dissatisfaction in the party cadre.
Sources say that the High Command did not take lightly to the manner in which Mr Rosaiah tackled the increasing dissension among the lower-rung party cadre, who had started to raise slogans against him at almost every possible opportunity.
Some of the protests, due to the absence of the portraits of his predecessor YS Rajasekhara Reddy at government meetings, had become a regular feature in his public meetings.
Mr Rosaiah spent 447 days as Chief Minister of the state, and he is largely credited with handling the volatile political situation which had arisen in the aftermath of YSR&rsquo;s untimely death.
According to source, Assembly Speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy will succeed Mr Rosaiah in the hot seat, but other contenders to the throne like Information and Public Relations Minister J Geetha Reddy and Union Minister Urban Development S Jaipal Reddy are also considered as favourites.
Meanwhile, Senior Congress leaders Pranab Mukherjee, Ahmed Patel and Veerappa Moily are visiting the Hyderabad to deal with the situation.

But Nihas regained his composure and once he dealt with the main story, the narration turns interesting. But there are many scenes and characters that looked forced and out of sync to the story.While the first half after the initial confusion, turns interesting in the run up to the interval and brings an end setting to the exciting second half, the second half sinks even further. There are many unnecessary characters and the flat narration and uninspiring execution played the spoil sport. The flashback episodes undoes all the good intentions. What surprises all is that the director did not include a female lead in the film. He showed the female character as the sister to the three main characters.The dialogues are entertaining and natural, and none of them look forced and out of sync. The interval bang is done well turning the first half into a decent one. The second half continues in the same manner, and the screenplay and narration goes in a smooth and sedate manner.However for all the positives, the director after highlighting the conflict point and establishing it quite well, ends the film in a flat manner, disappointing all.The cinematography of SVK showed the Hyderabad old city vibes in a natural and realistic way. He used the camera angles to perfection and showed the nightlife and also the day hustles quite well and in an effective manner.The background score of Smaran Sai is good and complemented the proceedings, adding value to the narration. He came up with foot-tapping songs highlighting the old city culture and Deccani flavor. The editing of Rohit Penumasta is ok but could have been better, as there are a few drags that slowed the pace of the narration. However, in between, he loses steam, but still, the first half ends on a decent note, setting the tone for the second half.He continues in the same manner in the second half but adds a few more intense emotional elements. A couple of twists generate interest, surprising all. The twists come as a surprise in a rather predictable story, and the flat narration, especially in the second half. However, once the twists are unraveled, there is nothing much in the story to take it forward. The climax ends on an emotional note.GV. Prakash Kumar elevated the scenes with his background music. His background score added impact to the emotional scenes. His music and tunes for the songs already became the chartbusters. The Ravi , Swetha love track and the father-daughter marriage episodes ends up testing the patience of the viewers.The court drama and the land dispute in the second half is shown in an illogical and silly manner. The point as to why son is hating his father is not shown in an elaborate manner and the father son bonding is not elevated properly except in the climax.A more racy screenplay, more intense and entertaining script would have added value to the narration. Many expected things to change after Vishal who was seen as a honest and innocent medical representive gets trageted. But nothing of that sorts happen and the entry of other Vishal character is expected to change the proceedings at least in the second half. However, the narration nosedives in the second half to a new low. The scenes featuring Vishal, Dushara Vijayan lack the emotional connect and looks mundane and the so called comedy with Thambi Ramaiah doesn't work.Things doesn't change in the second half and the so called flashback episode which is expected to take the film to next level is dragged to the core testing the patience of the viewers. The chemistry between Vishal and Anjali looked odd on screen and to the irritation of viewers, the pre climax and climax is dragged to the next level leaving people wonder when the film will end. The climax fight looked silly and illogical leaving all shocked. The story is outdated and screenplay and direction didnot inspire any confidence.GV. Prakash Kumar's music offered nothing new. Many will be under the impression that the makers included these scenes to attract genex viewers and then wash off their hands with a message in the climax. A little finetuning of the script, and attention to the second half would have added more power to the final output.
