The SI aspirants, raising slogans against the indifferent attitude of government to find a solution to the issue, took out rallies at Uppal Crossroads and Secunderabad Station.

The agitators resorted to sit-in agitations and staged rasta rokos, disrupting traffic. They also raised `Jai Telangana’ slogans.

Etela Rajender and Harish Rao condemned the stubborn attitude of government and its failure to solve the Free Zone issue.

The MLAs demanded deletion of CLAUSE 14 (F) from the Presidential Orders, to prevent injustice to Telangana candidates. They demanded that Hyderabad be made the VIth zone.

As situation seemed to be getting out of control, in light of the presence of the TRS leaders and activists and increase in the vociferous demands by the SI aspirants, the police arrested the MLAs and shifted them to nearby police station.
