Owaisi wins praises for his comments on Pahalagam attack. Even after three days, the bloodbath created by the Islamic terrorists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir is giving sleepless nights to the Indians and they are demanding the toughest punishment to Pakistan from the Indian Government.
After the Pahalgam attack, almost all the politicians supported the Indian government and vented their fury against the Pakistan. However, few like Rahul Gandhi's brother in law, Priyanka Gandhi's husband Robert Vadra came up with a shocking statement.
He said when this terrorist act took place, they [terrorists] were looking at IDs, people who were non-Muslims were attacked and messages were given to the Prime Minister. Why is this happening? Because, they are feeling that Muslims are being mistreated in our country," and after the backlash, he indulged in damage control saying "As is said terrorism does not look at any kind of religion. But I feel that whenever in a country there are communal issues, people feel vulnerable. There is a division and we see that in our country."
Under these circumstances, MIM Chief, Asaduddin Owaisi is winning the hearts of all for his comments and support to the Government. It is known that Owaisi always flaunts his religion and is a bitter critic of PM Modi and the ruling BJP. But after the Pahalgam attack, he asked all the Muslims to wear black badges and show their anger against Pakistan. He also said “This is the time to care for our nation. AIMIM will stand by whatever steps the government takes for national interest security and the protection of Kashmiri people,” and added “Later on, we can speak about whatever disagreements we have between each other. But, as of now, we need to be united at this critical juncture,”
He continued the government is already taking steps in the international arena. Whatever steps have been taken in the Cabinet Committee on Security, we welcome it. We have to do what we have to do,” Owaisi said “Our political differences (with the BJP government) will continue and will never end but, it’s time for us to stay united.”
He added "The central government can take action against the nation that shelters the terrorist groups. The international law also permits us to do an air and naval blockade in self-defence against Pakistan and impose sanctions on Pakistan on arms sales." and added "I condemn the way the terrorists killed people by asking about their religion".
