Babu trying to sabotage T-movement: Jeevan Reddy

Former minister and Senior Congress Leader T Jeevan Reddy on Monday demanded that Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu make his stand clear on the Telangana statehood issue.

Talking to media persons on Assembly premises, Mr Jeevan Reddy cast doubt on the TDP leader’s commitment towards Telangana. He stated that Mr Naidu should have led the dharna at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi staged by Telangana TDP Forum, if he was in favour of a Telangana state.

Posing a question to Mr Naidu whether he issued a Whip to his party MPs to support Telangana Bill in the Parliament, Mr Jeevan Reddy said the Congress was ready to introduce the Bill in Parliament.

Suspecting the credentials of the Opposition leader over the commitment to Telangana, the former minister said the TDP leader has dubious history of obstructing Telangana formation twice.

He alleged the Telugu Desam was following dual standards on Telangana state formation and trying to sabotage its formation.
