The BJP's victory in the recent elections in Andhra Pradesh, fueled by the hope of a better future, has now been met with disappointment and anger as the promise of special status remains unfulfilled. While the central government has announced financial assistance, a closer look reveals it to be a loan, not a grant.

TMC MP Mahua Moitra, speaking in the Lok Sabha during the budget session, exposed the reality of the "aid" package, stating it to be a 15,000 crore loan. She highlighted that this loan, with interest, will ultimately be borne by the people of Andhra Pradesh and their future generations.

Moitra also pointed out the absence of any special grant for backward areas of Andhra Pradesh, despite promises made by the central government. She accused the BJP of deceiving the people of Andhra Pradesh, highlighting their intelligent understanding of the situation.

This revelation has fueled anger and frustration among the people of Andhra Pradesh, particularly as the BJP is in power with the support of TDP MPs. Many question why the central government is hesitant to provide grants to the state while offering loans instead.

The issue of special status for Andhra Pradesh has been a long-standing demand, promised during the state's bifurcation. The lack of progress on this front, combined with the recent revelation about the "loan" package, has led to growing resentment and calls for action.

The demand for the fulfillment of promises made in the Partition Act is now even more pressing. The alliance parties are being urged to put pressure on the central government to fulfill their commitments and address the concerns of the people of Andhra Pradesh.

The silence of AP BJP leaders on this issue further adds to the public anger and disappointment. It remains to be seen if the BJP will address the concerns raised by Moitra and take steps to fulfill their promises. The people of Andhra Pradesh are watching closely, hoping for a resolution to this issue that has impacted their state for years.
