CM Revanth Reddy puts conditions for Tollywood.The Telangana government has introduced a novel directive for film producers seeking to adjust ticket prices. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has outlined stringent criteria for the film industry, emphasizing a critical social responsibility. A significant condition has been stipulated, mandating the creation of public awareness regarding the pressing issues of cybercrime and the menace of drug abuse through cinematic platforms.

In an official statement, the Chief Minister underscored that theaters will not be permitted to operate without actively broadcasting messages on the dangers of drugs and the perils of cybercrime. He emphasized that, irrespective of a film's budget, even those in the hundreds of crores, educational advertisements must be screened prior to the main feature to educate the public on these critical topics.

Highlighting the role of prominent figures in this initiative, the Chief Minister noted, "When the film industry approaches the government for ticket price adjustments, they often overlook their role in addressing the societal scourges of drug addiction and cybercrime. It is incumbent upon the film medium to contribute to the awareness and prevention of such issues. From this point forward, discussions on drugs and cybercrime must be integrated into the cinematic experience, both at the film's outset and conclusion. To facilitate this, a three-minute video must be shown to create awareness. Without such measures, there can be no justification for increasing ticket prices. The government will not extend support or cooperation for such adjustments if this critical social obligation is not met."
