Chiranjeevi returned to Hyderabad after recently honored with India’s second-highest civilian award, the Padma Vibhushan, conferred by Honourable President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan during the Civilian Decorations Ceremony. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah were also present at the ceremony.
Upon his return to Hyderabad from Delhi, Chiranjeevi interacted with the media and shared his feelings about receiving India's second-highest civilian award. When asked about whether he is going to Pithapuram to campaign.for his brother Pawan Kalyan, Jana Sena Chief, who is contesting in the elections in Andhra Pradesh.
Chiranjeevi spoke about his support for his brother Pawan Kalyan, stating, "I want my younger brother Pawan Kalyan to win in Pithapuram. My support will always be for Pawan Kalyan. Currently, I am not affiliated with any party." Furthermore, Chiranjeevi expressed his respect and admiration for Sr. NTR, stating, "I will be happy if Sr. NTR gets the Bharat Ratna, and I hope it happens soon with the government's support."
Looking deeper into the Chiranjeevi's words we can't see them as a mere statements. There seems to be a more meaning to it. Let us assume, of Chiranjeevi went for Pithapuram and campaign for his brother full-fledged ly and in case Pawan lost the election. It will be a severe blow to Chiranjeevi's image and even if Pawan wins it will be credited to TDP's pro Varma and co. So, either way Chiranjeevi won't be a deciding factor here. More than Pawan, Chiranjeevi is the trump card for Kapu and other BC communities. Irrespective of castes and religious he still enjoys loyal supporters.
Keeping in mind all these aspects, Chiranjeevi might avoided to.plunge directly into the electoral battle field. As a blood brother, he extended his support to his brother Pawan Kalyan and also sending his son Ram Charan to campaign for Pawan Kalyan. A clever move from Megastar indeed.
