As expected, the Praja Rajyam Party on Saturday named Allu Aravind as its General Secretary while senior leader Buragadda Vedavyas was named as a member of the Political Affairs Committee.
Announcing the decisions taken at a meeting, PRP president K Chiranjeevi added that Nalgonda district ST Cell president Ramesh Naik would henceforth be the party’s spokesperson.
Mr Aravind’s name for the post of party General Secretary was doing rounds since some time now while Mr Vedavyas’s experience in the political arena was also expected to earn him the membership of the PAC.
Mr Aravind is also Mr Chiranjeevi’s brother-in-law while Mr Vedavyas had joined the PRP in February last year after being denied a ticket by the Congress from the Malleshwaram Assembly Constituency in Krishna district.
Mr Ramesh Naik is known for his adept handling of media persons.
