Blade Attacks on Pawan Kalyan. Pawan Kalyan, despite facing defeat in the Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka constituencies in the last election, continues to voice concerns about his safety, alleging threats from the ruling YSR Congress Party in Andhra Pradesh. His recent claim of being targeted by a group of individuals armed with blades has raised eyebrows.
According to Pawan Kalyan, there is a group associated with the ruling party whose sole purpose is to physically harm him and his team. He stated, "There is a blade batch that is nurtured by the ruling party, and their only job is to physically attack me and my team. This batch comes with a set of fine blades and they attack me and my team with these blades."
To counter these threats, Pawan Kalyan mentioned that he has implemented special security protocols and urged members of his party, Jana Sena Party (JSP), to understand and cooperate with these measures.
Comparisons have been drawn between Pawan Kalyan and other political leaders in Andhra Pradesh, such as Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu, and Nara Lokesh, who have undertaken public campaigns (Padayatras) and faced physical threats without publicly complaining. Critics have pointed out that Pawan Kalyan, who visits Andhra Pradesh sporadically and leaves quickly, seems to be highlighting these incidents for sympathy, especially considering the timing of his allegations just before the elections.
While the veracity of these claims remains a matter of debate, they underscore the volatile political environment in Andhra Pradesh and the heightened tensions surrounding the upcoming elections.
