Jagan supporter gets Show Cause Notice

Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president D Srinivas on Thursday sought an explanation from Nellore district Congress Committee president Gopal Reddy over his call to party cadre to join the Odarpu Yatra of Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

Revealing this to media persons, Nellore district Congress coordinator Rudraraju Padmaraju said that he had been instructed to issue the show-cause notice to Mr Gopal Reddy by the party Disciplinary Committee.

Mr Srinivas had earlier instructed the Congress Disciplinary Committee to issue the show-cause notice.

Mr Gopal Reddy had recently called on the party cadre in the district to attend Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s Odarpu Yatra and also said that the party High Command had not issued any directive against this.

The coordinator asked Gopal Reddy to explain reasons for issuing such statements within a fortnight.

Mr Padmaraju said the PCC will initiate disciplinary action against Gopal Reddy based on his reply to the show-cause notice.
