Michael Douglas praises PM Modi. American actor and film producer Michael Douglas commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's notable contributions to the film production and finance sectors during the 54th International Film Festival of India in Goa.
In discussing the festival's significance and Prime Minister Modi's leadership, Douglas remarked, "The spirit and beauty of this festival are increasingly reflective of the strength of Indian filmmaking, renowned worldwide with 78 foreign countries in attendance. I believe you are in very good hands, and it's just the beginning."
Douglas also expressed appreciation for the efforts of Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur, stating, "Under Minister Anurag Thakur, along with Prime Minister Modi, we've witnessed a substantial increase in funding for film production—a truly successful period."
Highlighting the universal appeal of movies, he told the media, "Despite the diversity of languages we speak, movies transcend these barriers, providing a shared language that brings audiences together worldwide. The unifying power of movies, irrespective of race, religion, or gender, is a crucial aspect."
