Panchayat Raj Minister Botsa Satyanarayana on Friday appealed to the Telangana student bodies not to create hurdles for the Group-1 preliminary examination scheduled to be conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission on September 5.

Talking to media persons at the Secretariat, Mr Satyanarayana asked Telangana students not to disrupt examination as it disrupts the career preparations of the lives of lakhs of aspirants, who are eagerly waiting for the conduct of examination across the state.

Recalling that the Group-1preliminary examination has been already postponed twice due to various reasons, he asked Telangana Joint Action Committee not to play with the lives of hardworking students by raising the quota issue and seeking postponement of the preliminary exams.

The Minister said that it was not proper to postpone the Group-1examination until submission of report by the Justice B N Srikrishna Committee in December.

“The Srikrishna commission will submit its report by the year-end. Why are the student bodies in a hurry to raise the reservation issue before the Commission files its report? This is not good,” he stated.
