Hectic activity is witnessed as frantic officials scurry about to make final arrangements for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s day-long visit here on Wednesday.  

The Prime Minister’s special IAF aircraft will land at Renigunta airport at 10:30 AM and proceed straight to Mannavaram for the laying of the foundation stone of the Rs 6,000 crore NTPC-BHEL power equipment manufacturing plant.

Dr Manmohan Singh will then fly to Tirumala where he will worship at the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara. He will also lay foundation stones for some projects.

The Prime Minister would leave for Renigunta where he lay the foundation stone for the Tirupati International Airport before departing for New Delhi.

Chief Minister K Rosaiah and a host of other Ministers, Legislators and VIPs are expected to be present.
