Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Saturday called on Governor ESL Narsimhan at Raj Bhavan to discuss the latter’s two-day trip to New Delhi.
According to sources, the Governor and Mr Rosaiah discussed the recent two-day tour by Mr Narasimhan to New Delhi.
Mr Narasimhan is believed to have inquired from Chief Minister about the political situation in the state after a false news story in a vernacular daily on Friday which claimed that the Governor had submitted a report on the future of Hyderabad to the Centre.
The vernacular daily had claimed that the alleged report by the Governor opined that Hyderabad should be declared a Union Territory if the state is partitioned and a separate Telangana state is carved out.
Mr Narsimhan has already denied that he had submitted such a report to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi or Union Home Minister P Chidambaram.
The Governor had described the news report as ‘false, unadulterated rubbish, totally wrong and malicious.’
Mr Rosaiah and the Governor also discussed the forthcoming visit by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to lay the foundation stone for the Mannavaram project.
