Chiranjeevi re-elected as PRP Chief

As expected, Praja Rajyam Party functionaries on Thursday unanimously re-elected K Chiranjeevi as party president at the ongoing plenary session in the port city.

The actor-turned-politician was the unanimous choice for the top PRP post with three sets of nominations being filed and seconded by several party leaders. Returning Officer Uma Malleswara Rao announced the election results.

Thousands of PRP leaders and activists congratulated Chiranjeevi on his re-election as party president.

Mr Chiranjeevi thanked the party functionaries for re-electing him as party president for second time and vowed to fight for the people and protect party interests.

“My responsibility has grown with today’s re-election. I will work with honesty and sincerity. I would strive to strengthen the party and live up to your expectations,” he stated.
